Sustainable Supply Chains through Innovation, First Event 7th July

Sustainable Supply Chains

SUSCIN aims encourage buyers to recognise how sustainable procurement is a tool to delivering wider social, environmental and economic benefits. Therefore, over the course of this project, we will be running a series of brokerage events in the South East of England, bringing together buyers with local suppliers of sustainable products and services. These events will broaden buyers’ knowledge of sustainable products and services, and stimulate current and future markets for sustainable solutions.

The first of these events will take place on Tuesday 7th July 2009 at St Mary’s Football Ground, Southampton

I found the event very interesting and will be sure to say good things about it to other buyers both in my organisation but also outside." Kayzi Ambridge, E.ON UK

"The 'meet the buyer' event was a fantastic opportunity for the MET to assess market capability with regard to the sustainability agenda." Maurice Campbell, Corporate Services Procurement, MET Police

"This event has given a great forum for Skanska to meet a diverse range of suppliers who share a passion for the development of a more sustainable construction industry. We will be distributing the contacts made throughout our group." Rob McHugh, Skanska
